Yesterday, a day after telling Kathy I needed a new case for my iPad because the tabs were broken and the iPad was slipping out, I was in the back yeard with the iPad, leaned over, and the iPad slipped out of the case. No problem, this has happened before. I picked it up, turned it over and brushed the dust off, except it wasn't dust, it was a badly cracked screen. Oops.
Well, I did tell Kathy I wanted a new case - and a new iPad.
I took it into a repair shop in Glen Ellyn this morning. For a total of $153 they will replace the screen and digitizer. We shall see how this works out, but it should at least give me time to investigate the latest iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro.
